When you first meet Martha, her enthusiasm and love for
landscaping is obvious. Martha has been designing
landscapes for over 25 years, has a Bachelors Degree in
Landscape Architecture, and is an MNLA certified nursery
and landscape professional. She has done projects such
as Memorial gardens, Hospitals, Banks, Industrial
facilities, Restaurants, and many residences. She
specializes in creating complete, tailor – made outdoor
environments.
The groundwork, for Martha, begins with an enjoyable
“tour” of your existing site where she will ask many
questions and do a thorough assessment. She considers
her clients lifestyle to be one of the most important
determining factors when creating a garden, such as the
need for things like entertaining areas, play spaces,
low maintenance, etc. The home, the site, adjoining
sites and views are also important in selecting the
appropriate style and elements.
Martha is a real “plants
woman”, and although she will expertly select plant
materials using texture, color, bloom time, etc, she
believes that plants are only a portion of the entire
design.
The “bones” (or structural outlines) of the
design are the starting points of all her creations. The
result is a complete composition, with interest,
movement, form, and color.
Once your plan is completed, it will be presented to you
with ample time and explanations to give you the best
“picture” possible of how it will look. Your input is
always appreciated. Your involvement and delight with
this process is of great importance. It ultimately has
to be a garden which you will be proud to call your own.
Then, finally, once your project is ready to be
transformed into reality, Martha will be there to help
insure the integrity of the design, and address any
issues that may arise. From the first meeting to the
last plant being planted, Martha’s goal is for your
experience to be an exciting one, and your new landscape
to be everything you wanted.
